I am indeed delighted to greet each of you as your new president.
Please know I have humbly accepted the mantle of leadership, realizing that I need the love, and support of every Link Sister. Sisters, I am counting and depending on every sister doing her fair share of building on the firm foundation that was laid by our past presidents and their officers.
To our past presidents, I say thank you for the countless hours, resources and planning that went into laying such a solid foundation A special thank you goes to our immediate, outgoing president and her officers as they complete their tasks of turning all files and records over to this new administration. Know that this administration looks forward to all members for their continued support, sisterly love and service. Therefore, with the collective strength, wisdom and resources of all of my Link Sisters, I feel confident that we can truly make a difference in Selma and throughout our service areas.
I believe it was Henry Ford who once said: “Coming together is a beginning; Staying together is progress; and Working together is SUCCESS.” Sister Links, let’s think success, plan for success and most importantly, let’s work to be successful with programs, events, and yes, by all means, with our Friendship .
